We Teach Our Children How to Learn

Our Kindergarten coordinator meets yearly with the school system's kindergarten and first-grade teachers to find out what our children need to know when they enter school.   Then, we make sure they are ready.  We teach in a low-pressure, non-competitive environment that encourages all our students to progress and succeed at their own pace.

Most importantly, we teach our children how to learn. As they enter kindergarten, our students know and can write the alphabet and their names, can count to at least 100 and know all the other essential skills that help put them at the top of their classes.

If your child is in half-day kindergarten, the lessons continue when they return to Kids 'R' Kids Olathe.  Not only will they have fun with art, crafts and play projects, they will learn the first grade sight words, practice their reading and writing skills and participate in a planned curriculum that expands their knowledge.  Recently, many of our kindergarteners tested at a second-grade reading level.

Parent participation is essential to academic achievement.  We encourage you to spend time with your child working on the homework assignments. You will feel a special sense of pride and accomplishment as you guide your child's learning experience and watch your student's growth.  And, if you have any questions or concerns, you always will find our teachers and staff ready to assist.
